Mind Unleashed

The One Consciousness

I’ve had an amazing experience recently. It was a complete eye opener and I would say it was one of my most profound moments in recent memory. A ode to the power of the mind. How simply thinking about a situation in a new light can clear all the shadows in the mind. I feel like my mind has found freedom, and that freedom has empowered me to rise above hate, grief, and anger.

I took away a couple things from yesterday, all very Buddhist:

1. We are all part of one. Because there is one, there is two, and because there is two, there is three and all the infinite things in the universe. Just like millions of individual cells comprise the human body, the many is actually just part of one. The struggle, the feeling of differences, is a vanity. I am connected to all life around me. Thinking that what one does will not affect anyone else is an illusion.

2. We will all die. What you see as “life” now will end. The more in-tune you are with this concept, the more you will be able to appreciate life. This isn’t an excuse for you to say “I’m going to die anyway, live reckless!” That will rot the mind. Pleasures are a distraction to the mind and it will make it soft and you will never be able to free your mind. Pain and suffering is a necessary component of freedom. That why yogis put themselves in awful positions, that’s why monks fast and/or sit in meditation for 10 hours straight. Its so that even though they are hungry or in pain, they can still rise above it and appreciate life.

3. How do they rise about it? By the power of supreme awareness. Everything we are fighting for, is so that we can perpetuate the chance to have THIS. This as in right now, feeling the things you feel, wanting the things you want, thinking the things you think. It is the most amazing moment in your life; NOW. By actually being in the moment, by simply recognizing that you are here, you should already feel accomplished. As a eluded to earlier, being aware of the now will allow you to push past whatever negative conditions that you find yourself in. Now is the most important time in anyone’s life.
